Send Help

I went into this movie knowing nothing about what happened in it. I was told the day of that it's about a lady with her shitty boss. It took me for a wild ride as I had no idea what was gonna happen next. Love story? Girlboss story? Horror ending? It kept me on the edge of my seat and genuinely surprised me at every turn. Very good movie.

Toi et Moi

I read this as japanese practice and found it to be really easy to read. I still struggle with causative form verbs because I'm very bad at japanese, but I didn't find myself struggling too much here. Syntax is very easy and vocab is simple. Not much text per page makes it go by very quickly too. As for the content of the manga itself, it's really cute! The art style is really beautiful and the romantic scenes are very tender. Sadly it is also quite boring, so it's a good thing I read in japanese cause if not I don't think I would've paid attention.

Blue Drop

This show took me about 3 months to watch but I'm happy I took my time. It is incredibly calming and peaceful despite the impending doom. The two stories seem initially very disjointed but they converge really well in a way that makes all the individual happenings all make sense. Hagino and Mari are really cute, even if it's doomed yuri. Hagino's guilt for killing one of her soldiers and for being an invader compared to Mari's deep discomfort with her for being a weirdo. The way they become close to each other and become best friends feels really natural. I really liked it.
