Bishoujo Mangekyou 2

I went into this already kind of knowing the twist and that it was pretty bad so I tried to focus more on the journey there than the outcome of the story. This approach was definitely a good way to go about it cause it made me able to enjoy the sex scenes even more....I don't use nukige for their intended purpose but I definitely appreciate the eroticism of the sex scene writing. All the sex scenes up until the last stretch of the game are incredibly sensual, loving and playful. It was really nice to read through them even if I skimmed a lot due to not knowing that many sexual terms in japanese. The art was beautiful and the voice acting, while exaggerated, was pretty sensual.
As for the twist and the endings, the delivery is actually not as bad as I expected and it doesn't come as out of nowhere as Bishoujo Mangekyou 4's twist. There are a couple of hints across the game that become more prevalent as you're further in that make the twist feel a lot more natural. I think the bad ending is my favorite because of how upsetting it is, knowing the MC was a rapist to two women and ended up living in his delusions. The normal ending was a bit of rape apologia but it concluded in a tragic finale for both Akihito and Shizuku so I accepted it. The true ending feels way too happy for the circumstances that lead to it. So in my opinion the twist itself is not the bad part but rather how positive the ending is.
Will be starting Bishoujo Mangekyou 5 sometime after I finish Ar Tonelico 1 :D
