Air (anime adaptation)
I have not read the visual novel at all so my experience with this is completely blind. I thought it was pretty good! Even though the first two arcs felt like they were trying too hard to make me cry, the main plot I felt was very nice and pleasant and even emotion-inducing. The music and visuals are very pretty and aesthetically it's a wonderful show and possibly a good adaptation too(?).
I find it weird that Haruko's redemption happened like it did, I don't find her reasoning for neglecting Mizusu to be reasonable in any way for her to just be redeemed like that. It would've been better to me if she was trying to be at Misuzu's side the entire time and failed to due to not having any experience as a mother as opposed to just not even trying out of fear of abandonment. Or have the resolution be that Misuzu accepts that she cares for her but still holds her accountable for being so neglectful.
The ending did make me feel things even if not enough to make me cry or tear up.
