Abyss Replay & Jade
Tales of the Abyss is genuinely one of the greatest JRPGs ever like I'm so serious. It's super fun and I feel really bad that I used to not like the gameplay!!! It's fun!!! The FoF's are great!!! I have so much fun just using the artes like....I was playing in multi-player to be fair but it's soooooo much fun. Anyways I'm here to talk about Jade Curtiss.
I need him so bad it's not even funny. Like I was so in love with him before I've fallen more in love with him now. The fact that he acts sarcastic and evil to hide his mistakes and possibly low key because he also believes he's a little evil. IDK but he puts on such a good front...and I understand him more now because of how much I hate myself for hurting people. Nowhere near what he did cause he's crazy and insane but I have hurt so many people I feel guilty about it all the time. How he sees that regret in Luke after he killed so many in Akzeriuth and he understands but knows that he has to keep pushing instead of moping or clinging to false hope like he did....His words kept me from suicidal thoughts when I was at the peak of my regretfulness. I even drew him hyping me up by telling me to stop being ridiculous and desperate for validation and it kept me going through the thesis months. I wish he would talk to me how he talks to Luke....yume thoughts where he gets you out of a depressive slump by being really passive aggresive.
Jade is one of the best characters in Tales of as we already know. But even after it's been so long I still find new things about him and new ways to understand him. 7 years of yume-ing him now !!!! I adore him I adore him I NEED him. Like desperately. I even bought the body pillow cover so I have him next to me all night.
